LiminalCD is a photography studio and art collective based in Oslo, working in the spaces that don't quite belong — empty parking lots at 4am, the moment before a stranger turns around, the soft hour when the highway becomes ambient music.
We make pictures, films, zines, and exhibitions. We share equipment. We argue about prints. We believe the in-between is the most honest place a camera can stand.
2026, by co-founders Ali Hamza and Simone Chalsky.

Two ongoing series. Click a profile to open the dm.
Two co-founders. One darkroom. Endless arguments about grain.
Studio rates and commission types. Everything is negotiable for artists, students, and projects we believe in.
Phase One IQ4, Hasselblad 500CM, Mamiya 7, Sony A7RV, full lighting kit, B&W and colour darkroom, Epson SureColor printers up to 24".
Notes, thoughts, behind-the-scenes. Updated when we feel like it.
Spent the weekend with the Mamiya near Sognsvann. Twelve frames in eight hours. Couldn't have made the same pictures with anything faster…
We're hosting an open studio Sat 22 Feb, 14:00—19:00. Coffee, prints, cheap zines. Bring a friend.
Six exhibitions, two new members, one collapsed darkroom ceiling. Notes from the year and what we're chasing next…
For commissions, collabs, studio bookings, or just to say hi.
